Alfie's Interview
Interviewer: Thanks Alfie for doing this interview.
Alfie: No problem, thanks for having me.
Interview: So talking about the creative industry, what has been your favourite show you've ever been in?
Alfie: Hmm.. that's a tricky one, I love all of the shows I've been in and it's so hard to just choose one. I'd probably go for West Side Story, as I love legit musicals and the score is fantastic.
Interview: Legit musicals?
Alfie: Classic musicals, ones that were written before 1960

Interviewer: Aha, is there anymore lingo used in theatre which we might not understand?
Alfie: Haha yes -
Interviewer: Break a leg
Alfie: Yes the classic phrase. There's also blocking, so that's where you focus on where you are in the space and clean the routine, marking is where you don't dance full out and is more for memory purposes and then there's also cheating out which means you stand on a diagonal instead of fully facing the side, so the audience can see your face.

Interviewer: What? That must be exhausting. Has this only started to happen now you're an adult?
Alfie: Oh no, it's really common to get an audition the next day, so it's not really surprising when it's short notice.
Interviewer: Wow, a very demanding profession indeed.
Alfie: It sure is.
Interviewer: Do you have any ways of coping with the stress you deal with?
Alfie: As a matter of fact I do, I know it's strange but I really enjoy blogging on Instagram as a way of recording my life - like an online diary if you would call it that.
